As for the price, it probably wasn't out-of line. If you figure 60 bucks for the levers, and 60s bucks for the hoods (a little high for the levers maybe, but not stupid money), the price is about right. A little high, but not overly so.

In a different week, perhaps they'd have sold for under 100 bucks, but not much under, these days.

I think they went as high as they did because of the hoods. I hope it wasn't because of that "1st gen" stuff. That would be too bad.
