I just had some parts returned that were rechomed. Beautiful job by the way from Custom Metal Finishing in Shelby, Michigan.
This is my first experience in rechroming so I wonder if someone had a similar experience: the caps for the pedals have some goop in them with a little metal ring, I assume, to pull the goop out, correct? And the interior pedal where the spindle would go has similar goop in it, without the ring to pull the goop out. I would guess that the goop is for protecting parts that were not going to chromed, but then how does one clean it out? It's pretty hard stuff.
First time for a lot of things these days.
Thanks.
Cheers.
