About two years after I started serious riding, I kept noticing a click-click from my rear wheel on hills. It took me awhile to diagnose, but it was caused by the noise of spokes moving in/out of grooves caused by wear on the inside of the spokes where they cross. A fellow rider told me that I should have tied and soldered my spokes to prevent that. I don't know about that, but a drop of oil at the cross spoke junction sure did the trick. I never noticed any more click click. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
