I have an old Atom hub with a solid axle and decent locknuts. I want to use my Record hub in a track bike. Last night I put the Atom axle and cone nuts into the Record hub and it seemed to fit in there with no excess play. Is this dillusional or can I go with this setup? Or should I just "splurge" for a real solid axle with real Campy-compatible cone nuts, etc? I'd like to save the money if possible. A related question that I'm afraid to ask is, will my high-flange Record hub fit into the track bike that is on it's way to me. --Keven Ruf Seattle, WA Land of eternal sunshine.
