Hello -
I signed on to the list looking for information on Austro-Daimler.
I picked up a A-D SLE at a garage sale this morning. I have been riding it around this afternoon, and it seems to be a very nice bike. It has Huret derailleurs and a strange, three-armed Nervar crank. (It will probably be difficult if I ever need to replace the chainrings). All I know about the pedals is that they were made in Germany. (The toe straps say "Record" on the buckle - did I manage at least one Campy part?) The hubs say "Atom Made in France." For the most part, besides the derailleurs and brakes (Weinmann), it's a bunch of parts I never heard of.
Does anyone know the date of this bike and where it fits into the lineup? I noticed on the Classic Rendezvous page, that there is a model "SL" in the catalogue that was scanned in. Where does the "SLE" come in?
Thanks for any information.
