Hi Group, My name is Larry and I've been a browser for some time. I own a 73 Raleigh International with Campy normal reach brakes and 700C rims. I have a campy drop bolt for the rear brake. The front reach is fine. I'm not sure the rear brake would have enough reach even with the drop bolt for 650B rims. I think mine is just long enough with the drop bolt. There is not much extra reach for the front brake either. I also have a set of Campy short reach brakes and even with the drop bolt, the reach is not long enough for the rear brake. Good luck. I wonder if the use of a set of Campy brake drop-bolts is needed? Have you tried this yet? Does anyone know if this will allow the use of short reach sidepulls on a Raleigh International frameset?

>>While I can't specifically answer that question, I can tell you several Internationals have popped up on eBay in the past months sporting Campy brakes. There's one out there now: http://tinyurl.com/4z6fa and it doesn't appear to have a drop bolt. Some of the past auctions have had 27" wheels however.

This is a question of interest to me as I've long wished to upgrade my Internationals brakes to get that "full Campy" effect. On my '72 (23 1/2") I can't see how Campy brakes would work without a drop bolt in front and rear.=20
