Hi Garth what you've got is a Gios Professional, not a Super Record. They "replaced" the Super Record with the Professional as their top model in 84. the white bike on the CR site is a Professional. the serial number "should" be where you see it on the white Pro on the CR site. Mine is.
it would be odd to see a Pro without a serial number. the Super Records, Aerodynamics and Records from 83 and earlier didn't seem to have them. at least my SR and Aero don't have a SN.

My Gios frame has no serial number on the bottom bracket. The vintage is roughly 79 by the fork design and frame details seem identical to those on the Classic Rendezvous site pictured as the white Super Record. All tubes are well mitered and the bottom bracket is engraved with gios as are the seat stays tops. All details are again the same as the white one on the site which does have a serial number. What's up? Any ideas? (P,S. there is a 57 stamped on the bottom of the bb and all the decals are in place including the columbus and the professional)
