My browser mashes everything together at the end so I can't compare the
weights to the ones found in the older Paterek Manual. Usually they
will use a small, or "A" set. Sometimes they'll use a medium "B"
tubeset.

That would be my guess comparing the charts.

Correct and most times they don't include the fork blades either. I
always assume without blades unless noted otherwise.

You can't tell the difference once the tubes are built into a frame. The listed difference between KL and Record is only 70 grams or about 4-5% of the total tube weight. The main weight from a frame comes from things like dropouts and the BB shell. With a little constructive filing and carving of the rest of the frame parts (lugs, bosses, etc) you can make a frame from KL that weighs as little or even less than Record. enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives Coeur d'Alene, ID.
