I, like many of you are very thankful for the CR site and its content. Having created and maintained sites myself in the past I know the strain it can put on ones time. The next generation sites you see now on the web are more self serving but less informative and instructional. Another aspect in creating a site like the CR is the constant challenge to be 100% correct all of the time. I have seen what it is like with this group should someone stumble and make an errant comment or claim. To try and make everyone happy with one site is impossible so no need to try. I would think that the next logical step is to modularize the site and let people control their own content and be responsible for it. Still requires an overseer but with a lot less mips spent. If someone is an expert on a particular bike then they should create content and host it so the CR list can link to it as a resource rather than the content owner. This way it is always fresh and old and abandoned links just drop off. From what I have read over the last few years, this group has a wealth of expertise on many bikes and related subjects. It is easier for each person to contribute a link than it is to send all the content to one person (Dale) and have him try to manage it.
