hi everybody,
i just posted a bunch of photos of my medici pro-strada on my website. according to gian simonetti it's a 1970's - unfortunately he doesn't seem to have the serial number records handy, so he can't narrow it down any more than that. the serial no. is 58 01607. if anybody can date it based on the photos, please let me know.
if i'm not mistaken, the lugs on this bike are the ones designed, but never used, by mario confente, so i took quite a few closeups of them.
i hope you enjoy the photos.

Great pics!
In general, at first glance, that looks to me like an early 1980s bike (1982-84 if I were guessing). That is just a hunch, but with the fully-chromed fork, chromed right rear stay, and flashy graphics, I'd guess it to be at least 1980. Are any of the parts known to be original? That seat post looks like a circa 1977 one, for example....
I have a 60 cm Pro-Strada (in the same red color, I think). It is #043, has chrome only on the fork crown, pressed (Dubois?) lugs, and simpler graphics. I think mine is from around 1977 or so, but I haven't been able to get anyone to confirm or deny that.
I really like the way mine rides - it has SP tubing (or maybe a mix of SL and SP?), but isn't harsh, in my opinion.
