We have a few restaurants in town but how many are bike friendly, I cannot answer. The outside cafes are buttoned up until spring. We recently found a restaurant in lower Manhatten called Ancora which used to be the US HQ for Zeus Bicycle.
Go to a bike shop and pick up a NYC bicycling Map. Maps are free and show bike routes and locations of bike shops throughout the 5 boroughs. Some of the more interesting shops are Toga, Sid's, Conrads, Bikeworks and Bicycle Habitat. Be advised that shops in NYC are small
If you are riding in midtown, dont get "doored"
