How does one determine the age/vintage of a Cuevas frameset? I searched it thoroughly for a serial # the other day and couldn't find one. I'll check the steerer in the next few days. I've always guessed it was late '70s or early '80s based on having a full complement of braze-ons (only one set of bottle bosses, on the dt, none on the st) but over the BB cable routing and nutted brakes. It has the characteristic X brace in the steerer and 1010 drops. I got the frame and fork NOS, unbuilt, brand new in about '91, it had been shuffled from store to store, but never sold. I built it up with late '70s parts I'd been gathering since high school, but as parts wear and I start replacing them I'd like to be a bit more precise.
I'll load some pics at Morgan's site as soon as I do a bit of cleaning and take them.
Thanks,
Gene Powell
