Sorry to be a language curmudgeon, but I gotta say I'm appalled to see people I respect using the infantile term "tubie" in speaking of tubular tires. "Tubulars," "sew-ups," even "tubs," OK, but "tubies" is beyond the pale! Have some pride, people!

I also hate "tubies", and "tubs" doesn't work for me either. They are and always will be sew-ups to me! I still ride almost exclusively sew-ups, but I gotta admit that it's a PITA to have to carry two tires when on my "funny bike" with different size wheels!
