Speaking of Deore, I just bought a partial gruppo on eBay. Despite the small circle for the outer chainring, the inner chainring BCD look s no smaller than the Dura Ace 130 BCD. To go to low touring gears did one mount TA chainrings to the Deore arms?

Steve: You are right! He asked for DA though so I guess that's OK. Actually I think there were cheapo department store varieties of these O.S. pedal Shimano cranks...
