How about when you can't "get it up" anymore. No, not in that way, or the market migh suddenly be flooded with vintage bikes, especially from the east coast. I mean when you aren't looking after your keep in such a good way, like the rust starts to creep in. Then, there is the good possibility that someone can give it/them a better home. At least it might be a sign to thin out a little. This may not apply to collectors living in the tropics, and those with over twenty-five vessels in their fleet. Any rust on that brace of Masis leaning against the wall? Another theory, it's time when you talk to them and they don't answer back. Not spouses, bikes!
