Welcome to the list Earle, Dave Brink frames are few & far between.

Regarding the need for a BB cable guide, what you need depends on the type of front derailluer you are planning on using or have. The Simplex units of the period will require a cablestop for the front. Most Campagnolo units will have just a guide for the front, there is a Campagnolo stop/guide combo but it is not very common. I found one, appear to need another. The Simplex units appear to be scarce as well, Huret made such an animal if that is what you require, stop LH, guide RH. If using a Campagnolo front Record type or similar changer the more common double guide should work well. If you have a Campagnolo Record front with the cast in guide, sell it and use the proceeds to outfit the rest of the bike. (well maybe)
