Great to see Norris is back. Wonderful contributions that I am sure like me you never miss. He is a great fount of knowledge. I had no idea that Fred Higgins built a USWB solo with that piece of curved metal over the rear wheel. Thought he only used this on his tandems just shows you what little I know. Many people have flattered me lately on my knowledge which is very scant when you come up against the real experts such as Norris. They also asked for my assistance in helping on a book about British bicycle makers. I am nowhere near qualified to give such expert opinions, I was only ever a middle-marker and a touring cyclist. Surely Norris is more than admirably qualified to contribute on this subject. He built them, sold them, raced them and hails from that bygone halcyon British period. He knocks me into a cocked hat when it comes to this subject and really is the expert you need for your book.
Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
