Thats where they started(wasnt JAPAN the original knock off country?) we used to sell 9 speed conversion kits which basically added a 3 speed freewheel to your 3 speed "ENGLISH RACER" most came with this or a simmilar derailleur. We didnt sell many of these "SUN" derailleurs or the kits but I recall helping friends install them during the early 60s bike boom(more like a pop compared to the 70s)
