Well I went for it. I decided to trade for the colnago I posted about last week. there's no model name on it and I would like to get a general idea of when it might have been made.
To me it's kind of the poor man's colnago, or maybe it even isn't a colnago. There are no clovers on the frame or fork. The cutouts look like hearts, the fork crown is engraved colnago as are the seat stay caps. The fork and rear dropouts are all marked colnago. It has a colnago pantographed itm stem. It uses recessed brakes. The bottom bracket shell is cut out with two or three "stripes." "Junior" is engraved in on top of the bb shell on the non drive side. I know colnago makes junior kids bikes but this is a 56cm. the headset is a colnago. If it's a fake I'm not that worried, I'm sure I can get back the 200.00 plus suntour superbe pedals, and track wheelset off of a 2004 bianchi pista I traded for it. Whether it's true or not the former owner said he bought it in italy.
