The serial number is 010 (in other words, 1010). Nice later Carlsbad (and still a pressed-lug model). Collectors may stay away because of the creative paint job so you may be able to get it cheap. But now that you've outed it to the list, maybe not ;-)

Same seller put up a small (50cm) Carlsbad #711. It had no wheels, a Buy It Now of $500 and was gone in a few hours.

To me this was by far the nicer bike of the two in spite of the missing wheels. The fact that he valued it at $500 and has an opening bid of $1000 on the other one makes it seem pretty plain that the seller really has a thing for that paint job.

Finally a Masi in my size (or at least close to it). I'm quite interested in this bike despite its unusual paint. I'd like to hear any comments/insights list members have. By the way the seller says the serial number is 919.
