In college I lived in an old fraternity house and on weekends the freshmen would get out the "Brasso" and polish all the brass from a dull black or green color back to a shiny brass color. We did this 3 or 4 times per year.
Are ORO freewheels really plated in brass ?? If they are, then why don't they tarnish ?? I have never seen a green freewheel and this suggests to me that they are plated with something more stable than a pure brass finish.
Does anyone know _for sure_ what is the plating on ORO freewheels ?
