Thanks for the info, I'll include it in my notes (yes, shame on me, I keep

info on out-of-timeline bikes). I have photos of a 96 Team 3V and it has a

very plain round-shouldered crown with no markings (photo attached).

If you want to see a really cool crown, check out the lavender bike. This is a 3V that Joe Starck built for himself that Tom Sanders now owns. I won dered where the fork crown came from and the mystery was just solved last we ek (for me anyway) when Rex Gephart put some decals up for auction on Ebay for the Masi Record time trial bike (called the Cronos in the 88 catalog). I wrote

him to ask about the bike and he says he was told by Alberto Masi that they built some in Italy and some here (25 each I think he said)... I guess Joe m ust have had a leftover crown and decided not to let it go to waste... Nice, h uh? I wonder if the spoiler shape helps hold the front wheel down in cornering
