Sorry for causing any confusion: all PX-10s had really nice forks.

I was referring to the models in the tier(s) below the PX-10 but above the UO-8 and the plain P-10; for example the PSV-10, 10, PR-10, PS-10, PFN-10, PGN-10 and so forth.

Perhaps my impressions and memories of these bikes aren't 100% accurate but I have owned a couple of examples and worked on numerous others for friends, so there's some basis for my opinions and prejudices. :-)

So for example, it strikes me that the PR-10 and PS-10 used the same main frame but the PS-10 used Reynolds 531 fork blades while the PR-10 used whatever Peugeot had in the warehouse. (The fork crown seemed to be the same.)

Finally, you think these things all used French threading? That would be too simple. I've encountered Swiss threading and even English threading (which seems weird for a circa 1975 Peugeot but I have one in my basement neveretheless.)
