Thanks very much to everyone who responded, and for their help. Seems to be a lot of agreement there ... cool!

This is a club racer one step below the PX-10. Can't remember the exact model designation, PGN-10 perhaps. I don't have Chuck Schmidt's reprint of collected Peugeot catalogs with me, but it would show the exact model name. Original equipment would have been a Simplex FD matching the original RD, MAFAC levers to match the calipers, Normandy or Maillard hubs. Everything else looks original.

It's black with a plastic headbadge, built with Reynolds 531 tubing and long Simplex dropouts with fender eyelets. Aluminum Simplex rear der. and plastic coated shifters, Stronglight alum. cranks, Atax stem and Phillipe Guidons "... Italia" bars, and Mafac Racer brakes. No wheels, saddle or post. Metal serial number plaque that is rivet fastened under the b.b. shell reads: 7071597.

I'd appreciate any input, either on or off list. Thanks!
