I just saw that tomorrow's stage of Paris-Nice has been shortened because of "difficult weather." For those of you following the race, you are already aware that Tuesdays Stage 2 was significantly reduced as well because of "difficult weather." Perhaps the race will just degrade to a series of criteriums all the way to Nice.
Weather is always a potential factor in racing, particularly during the spring. I was looking through some old photos in my collection from Paris-Nice and ran across a remarkably similar "difficult weather" situation in 1956, also Stage 2.
