The 1973 Raleigh catalog on RetroRaleighs shows the Raleigh Professional MkIV, with Brampton direct (i.e. fastback) seatstays. At the time, this bike was considered steep, short and stiff for a production frame. My 1975 is definitely "racier" than most of my bikes. I like it, but if you want something more laid back, an International or an earlier Pro with traditional seatstays might be better.
