Yep, Peter N. is right, we don´t know yet what will become of the project.
There´s one thing in which I disagree strongly with him, however: It´s
not me who´s overseas, as Peter wrote, but he himself :-) I´m actually quite close the the UK, considered.
Joking aside, what I imagine this book to be (and a book it is I´m dreaming of) is very different from the usual, definitively addressing
itself to younger people as well as to adults, being a mix of (solidly
researched) information and interesting photography, but presenting it
in a way which breaks new ground and which will progress from where Hans-Erhard Lessing left off in his recent book on Drais.
I have some ideas as to how to lower the language barrier which might make it more interesting to an international public. There should be some rather playful parts as well as some anecdotic ingredients, like the piece on reviving a TF on yesterday´s CR. The aim should be to be
as un-intellectual as possible while maintaining high academic standards.
