Phil,
Just at the end of the "CR period" Peugeot also made some
all aluminum framed bicycles. These appear to be bonded in the
same manner as Vitus frames but in fact were friction welded.
Alas, they those joints proved to be unreliable, especially in
teh lasrger frames sizes.
I don't recall what sort of parts were on these bicycles
but, on second thought, I doubt it could possibly have been
Shimano R-100. Were those even available in before 1984?
