I have the original catalog that came with my 1986 Peugeot PZ-10. Probabaly OK to mention it since Dale did post the photos on the CR site and since the original equipment was Super Record. That catalog shows two Vitus-made models, one all aluminum, one with carbon overlaid main tubes. I think the Peugeot-made or at least non-Vitus Peugeot models came later, not earlier.

Are you sure? The Peugeot "Comete" bicycles (was this
essentially the same as the "Galaxy" that was mentioned in an
earlier posting?) used a different construction process than
the glued Vitus frames. Are you saying that Vitus actually
built these frames for Peugeot (desoite the different bonding
methods) orthat Peugeot sold re-badged Vitus frames after the
Comete bicycles were withdrawn from teh market or something
else entirely?
By the way, the more I think about these bicycles, the more
I think they miss the CR cutoff date by a year or two.
