I have the original catalog that came with my 1986 Peugeot PZ-10. Probabaly OK to mention it since Dale did post the photos on the CR site and since the original equipment was Super Record. That catalog shows two Vitus-made models, one all aluminum, one with carbon overlaid main tubes. I think the Peugeot-made or at least non-Vitus Peugeot models came later, not earlier.

The Peugeot "Comete" bicycles (was this essentially the same as the "Galaxy" that was mentioned in an earlier posting?) used a different construction process than the glued Vitus frames. Are you saying that Vitus actually built these frames for Peugeot (desoite the different bonding methods) orthat Peugeot sold re-badged Vitus frames after the Comete bicycles were withdrawn from teh market or something else entirely? By the way, the more I think about these bicycles, the more I think they miss the CR cutoff date by a year or two. Best regards, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
