I hit a swap meet this morning and in the morning sun I saw a chrome fork standing next to a table. Then I saw the campagnolo super record derailleurs then the star logo, it was a Guerciotti, it was exactly like the 1983 super record model on the CR page, even the same color. I walked over and very calmly asked the price, IT HAD BEEN SOLD!. It was exactly my size as well. A little grimy but definately a diamond in the rough. I wanted to cry but then the person who bought walked up, I asked if he wanted to sell it and he said no. He said he wanted the parts for a bigger frame, he was 4 inches taller then me. So I asked him if he wanted to sell me the frame. He said gladly, for a princely sum of 20.00. That almost made me gasp again imagining what he must have paid for the whole bike. I wanted to help him strip the parts off right there but we exchanged info and he said he should have it for me next saturday. It most certainly was not a total loss.
