Edward, I've got a 17 lb Trek with Egro that gets ridden on those not very friendly rides with 20 somethngs in the mountains.
I think you misunderstood my post. The guy who hefts the classic and dismisses it as too heavy? Just means that the bikes I covet are not for him. But if he wants to own one but doesn't want to actually ride it? He's a poseur pure and simple!
I think we all have "perspective" but if you're trying to find "balance" on the CR list I think you're being a little unrealistic in your expectations.
