Thanks for a simply splendid post, Brian! Someone is playing an April Fools joke on me as the CR List lurches quite unexpectedly into finally talking about Reg Harris.

One of more unusual publicity shots I've seen of Reg was in "British Export News" when Raleigh sent him to Nigeria for her Independence Day celebrations. Nigeria was one of Raleigh biggest and most loyal export markets and where cycling was (and is) passionately enjoyed. I had Nigerian clients back in 1980 who just thought it was wonderful that I cycled to work "on a real Raleigh".. my DL-1. Anyway, Reg flew down with his famous Lenton Sports (FM hub of course) and led a procession of 100s of cyclists on their Raleigh roadsters through the streets of Nigeria! It was mentioned that there was a nasceant cycle sport movement in the country. Hard going in a continent with some truly dire road conditions!

"Reg Rides A Raleigh".

Now that's a litmus test for a frame...
