This is my first posting on this list so I am not sure if it will be
sent to the right group.
I am restoring a Masi Gran Criterium frame which was recently painted by
Brian Baylis (and now looks even better than when it was new) and am
having difficulty with obtaining a bottom bracket for it. I originally
had a NR BB with hollowed out spindle and markings 70-SS-120 and a 'Z'
below the numbers. Purchased a Ti BB spindle on ebay with the same
markings (70-SS-120) but it doesn't fit with the threaded cup projecting
outside the frame by 11mm.
I think I need to get new cups and bearings for the Super Record
spindle. Does anyone know where I could find one in good shape. I am
willing to wait as the bike is PERFECT and I would like to get the
new/near new stuff.
