Now that the De Rosa price chat is over...
>From what I've seen, early De Rosa bikes of the period like the one that just sold are built rather poorly - gaps in brazing, blobs, look like rather inconsistent heating.
Were the De Rosa frames that came into Talbots for the USA market inferior to other De Rosas of the period? Were some frames for the pros much better built? Were some frames for the Italian consumer market better (or even worse?) built?
I know that some folks on the list are quite knowledgable about these, and I'd love to hear and learn.
