I'm afraid that the answers to these questions will cause me to want to buy another seatpost. First, what would be the minimum insertion depth for the seatpost on a Legnano with the front mounted binder bolt and slotted seat tube. I've always used 2 1/2" as a rule of thumb. Does the Legnano binder system change this? If the min insertion is anything over 2 inches then my 130 mm Campy post is too short. Next, my seatpost is of the narrow rail variety. Can I install my saddle mounting clamps on any other Campy 2 bolt seatpost? It's not clear from the catalogs wether the head of the seat post is also narrower. Has anyone adapted a standard Campy post to the narrow rail configuration? What I will end up needing is a mid sixties 27.0 seatpost in the 180 mm length, anybody have one available.
