Marc, You lucked out with that bike in such good condition. We used to sell those back in the day, but we couldn't seem to get any in my (60 cm-ish) size. Seemed like the smaller 22 1/2" was the most prevalent. I remember a price of about $350..always seemed a bargain.

The hubs are great, I agree. I remember first seeing them at the New York Bike show in the early 70's, mounted to a wood block. They were smooooooth. I still have a set that I got on another obscure Raleigh called the Super Tourer. Anyone recall those. It came in this weird chartreus (sp?) color. It had upright GB all-rounder bars, black Blummells? maybe esge, I forget. Huret Jubilees and a 49D crankset with the chain guard chainring. Another bike I regret selling! At least I still have the hubs, newly polished and built up on nos Super Champion 58's I had stashed in my basement for 20-some years. They grace a Trek 710 from the original Waterloo shop now. Roll-on!
