Francophile, yes; tourist, no. I prefer my racing geometry PX10 and CFX10, which have a slightly longer wheelbase than the typical Italian bikes of the era, with a longer top tube for a given seat tube length. But are they really that much different? I also like my Italian bikes, and Campagnolo vs Simplex/Stronglight have a different feel as well. Its hard to attribute the entire difference in feel to the frames, but I use different tires on the bikes that also contributes to "feel." I just like to ride 'em all.
