Due to the fortunate, sorry, UNfortunate circumstance of my wife & son
being on holidays more than a week later than me this summer, I have been granted ten days´ or so leave to watch this year´s TdF live and in colour.
So what I´ll do is I´ll pack my trusty old 2CV truckette* with camping gear and, of course, a veteran racing bike (Hi Dale, this constitutes classic contents, I hope), and accompany the Tour from roughly July 8 to 18 or 20, putting in a lot of cycling kms as well. This timeframe should cover the French Alps as well as the Pyrenees, and I hope to visit the Singer shop on my way back. Hugely looking forward to it all.
I guess that I won´t be the only lister to have had this idea, and it
would be an absolute shame if I found out afterwards that I could have
met someone in France, or Germany, for that matter, as part of the TdF
itinerary will lead through this country.
So, anyone? Perhaps even for a day or two in the truckette if you dare?
Regards, Toni Theilmeier, Belm, Germany.
