to the list I'd add: John Kari, San Jose (Built for Cupertino and Shaws Lightweight Cycles as house brand called Sonica) here's a couple questions: is Santana off-topic? Wasn't Angel building in the Sacto area? Alan Goldsworthy San Francisco, CA

I have a track frame built by John when he and I were at Specialized. He built many of the original S-Works bikes at a special shop down the street from the main office. Beautiful fillet brazed Prestige mountain bike tubing with Columbus PS froks and stays. The best riding track bike I have ever ridden and the only one that ever fit me correctly...

Santana made, I believe, 5 single bikes in the early eighties, so I guess they count. I sold one of them at Cycle World in San Marino, CA. A strange touring bike for a strange rider who planned a bike ride around the world.
