To see some film of the Giro d'Italia in the 1960s, '70s and '80s, go to this link: http://www.rai.it/news/articolonews/0,9217,109976,00.html The narration is in Italian but the old films footage is wonderful and the Italian pop music is fabulous. (Well... to be honest, songs that would make you cringe when sung in English will make you smile when sung in Italian.)

And since you'll be at this web site, check out one of the links for this year's Giro and be sure to listen to the the current theme song, "Il Grande Giro." (Apparently, they thought that the old songs were too intellectually challenging. This one can be understood by Anglophones with no prior experience in the Romance languages.)
