I do not remember Anown America bringing in Italian bikes but instead focussing on British. Was that comment from Richie Sachs? as he would surely know.. But who knows.. remember, back in those days many importers would try makes in batchs and few exclusive deals existed. For instance, a batch of Colnagos appeared at Gita, Wm. Lewis Imports had a variety of brands at different moments in time, etc... If a particular batch of framesets didn't move right out and "catch on", they would be talking to yet another supplier....
