A friend was telling me that when he lived in Australia, he met a frame builder named Jack Pesche. Anyone ever heard of him, or have one of his bikes?

C'mon guys (and gals), you're forgetting your History
of Myths and Legends 131 from Sophomore year. By
definition the Holy Grail of bicycles:
.. cannot be possessed by a mortal,
.. if actually found, signals the death of the finder,
.. appears differently to everyone, and
.. gets discussed ad nauseum, often around large
circular conference tables (or in circular fashion via
the magic of email).
This is one of those "journey-is-the-reward" things.
In other words, whatever you thought was the holy
grail of bicycles is yesterday's news once you get
your hands on it. If you're still breathing, that one
wasn't it after all...
