I totally agree with Lou on this point re: stewardship. The seller totally deserves the 7K. As for the relationship with Confente on pricing, when was the last time a Confente raced in the Tour de France...? Oh, that's right...never?
I just don't get the values placed on a Confente, yet I can totally understand the pricing that this Derosa reached.
Any way you look at it, it is nice to see that there are people out there that value the hobby.

I was high bidder on this bike for most of the past week at just under $2500. I was confident I wouldn't get it and I really didn't need it, but I like to bid. Had I won it, I was also confident that it was one hell of an investment at that price. To me, the operative word for this Derosa was condition, condition, condition.
