Subject: [CR]Tandem advise needed

Just received a 1973 Jack Taylor curved-tube tandem I bought on eBay. Very cool, but the standover height is at the absolute upper limit (this was discussed with the seller before bidding). Had thought about 650B wheels, but this would lower the BB too much and risk catching a pedal. Will probably fit 700C wheels in place of the current 27" for the small 4mm help that will provide.

Another issue - I cannot quite lower the captain's saddle enough because the stoker's stem hits the bottom rear of the Campy NR seatpost. Anyone know of a shop that specializes in tandems? I need to find a stokers stem with less rise (this one has quite a lot). Also, anyone have a source for a 25.8 straight post? I'm thinking a straight post with Brooks clamp may have more clearance than the NR post. Is 25.8 the standard captains seatpost size and therefore the standard ID of stokers stems?
