Well, you guys don't care because I ride a '87 Italian, but what's interesting is back when I bought it, it was a entry level $475 frame (SLX). Battaglin was still new in the US and was keeping his pricing affordable. These where Pinarello built in those days. Well back then nobody cared, but now 18 years later there isn't a ride go by that one or more riders comment on the bike. The one big factor in this is that I polished 80% of the components. From the bars & brake levers, shifters, crank arms, rims, seat post, down to the spokes. What I've come to the conclusion is that it's the 'shine factor' What happens when you hold a shiny object in front of a baby?? Yep, goo goo gaa gaa.

It's really not a bike, it's a rolling piece of candy

I have a LeJeune F-70 also, a 1973. In fact, it is on the CR site. The F-70 was pretty much the exact equivalent of the Peugeot PX-10. However, unlike the PX-10, LeJeune didn't publicize the F-70 model name much. I bought my F-70 in 1974 from Heinz Linke's shop in Lakewood, OH (some here remember him). Heinz never showed me a LeJeune catalog, nor did I ask. I never knew the name of the model until a few years ago, when a CR member copied and mailed be the pages from an old LeJeune catalog.
