The term "Extra" in the Universal 1950s catalog reprint refers to the calipers that have the QR mechanism added.

Calipers: •Extra mod.51 -aluminum caliper (side pull, QR mech., front and back diff. reach) •Lusso mod.39 -aluminum caliper (side pull, no QR mech, small front, standard front, small rear, standard rear) •Sportivo -aluminum caliper (side pull, no QR mech., large arch) •mod.56-57 -aluminum caliper (side pull, no QR mech., cable attachment on either side) •Sport Comune -aluminum or steel caliper (side pull, no QR mech., five diff. reaches) •Mignon Sport -aluminum or steel caliper (side pull, no QR mech., small and standar front and stardard rear) •Mignon Babino
