Whatever the criteria Vintage Velos use for selecting their jerseys, it seems to work. Too well in fact. This stuff flies off the shelf in a N ew York minute. I happened to browse the site days after the Cinelli jersey
came into stock. Did the usual, do I really need to spend money on anoth er wool jersey nonsense and by the next day, wham! gone! All but XXXXL (pleas e not on a Cinelli!!) and small sold out. Finito. So maybe they know the ir market. Eye-Tie sells and hey, you can't argue with that.
Can't or won't wear wool in summer? Think again. It's that time of year here in Washington. Temp: low 90s. Humidity: mid 70s-80s. I wore my Peugeot-BP wool jersey on Sat for 50-odd miles and was cool as a cucumber on a frying pan. Today I wore my vintage '70s synthetic "wool" TI Raleig h jersey in similar conditions and my cat took one whiff and ran under the bed when I came home.
