Odd. I recently got a similar flat a couple weeks ago on a clincher tube on
my Bartali near the valve stem where it attatches to the rest of the tube. I was able to patch it, but I'd never had a leak there before, it was on the
wrong side of the tube! It was a cheapo Chinese made inner tube probably though, that's all my nearby LBS has on hand. I get WAY fewer flats now that I don't spend an hour or two everyday riding. Kurt Sperry Bellingham WA
