A couple of wet rides without fenders seems to work a wonder for me. I don't use proofhide until I want the saddle sealed from water since it's basically wax. best, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives Loves to ride in the rain in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, but never has enough rain
