Thanks, Pete. You've helped explain why I have a v. small collection. I'm lucky enough to have the perfect bike, made for me in a really interesting time and place in terms of the craft. It has nothing to do with having a wife, an ex-wife, a kid and a mortgage, none of who appreciate the investment qualities of vintage bikes :^).
